I met up with the wedding party at St. Vincent de Paul church in Federal Way for some preparation photos, first look, then we took the entire bridal party and families down to Redondo Beach for some fun photos at the waterfont, while mass was still in session. I‘m glad we went there, as the late afternoon light was amazing.  Soon after we arrived back, it was time for the ceremony with the reception following right next door!

The joy and exuberance the two of them was apparent when we first met, that they both had smiles the entire day!

Julie and Olan, it was a pleasure and honor to work with you and I wish you both the very best!

It was another great late summer day in Seattle. We had perfect blue skies for the wedding and reception at the Edgewater Hotel.  I first met up with the guys and took some photos of them while the girls were still getting ready at the hotel.  They would not see each other before the ceremony, so Marco headed back the suite while we got some photos with the girls.  After the ceremony we took the family out for portraits down on the waterfront while the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour on the patio.

One thing I noticed when we entered the room for dinner was all the cakes the bride had on the dessert table, apparently she likes options! There were about 15 different cakes to sample.  It was great reception, with the dance floor packed most of the evening.

Emily and Marco it was great working with you both, and wish you all the best!

I headed north to Marysville at Leifer Manor for a nice outdoor venue.  Well, the weather was just plain nasty that day, as there was a rare tornado in Washington state which produced tons of wind and rain all night long. Luckily they had tents and heaters set up to keep everyone dry and warm.

The day started with the groomsmen wanting me to get a special photo that’s typically done when their group gets together at weddings, then it was time for family and bridal portraits, unfortunately we had to shoot these under the tent due to the extreme weather.  After the short ceremony, we finished the rest of the portraits and did a quick photo walk around the property, then joined up with everyone else at the reception.

When it was time for cake cutting the couple requested the parents to the cake table.  I figured nothing of this, as it’s pretty normal, then just as they were about to exchange bites, they smashed the cake into the face of the bride’s father.  A move that only the bride and groom knew about!

The DJ kept everyone dancing all night long and the LED lights projected a great ambiance pattern for everyone to enjoy on the dance floor.  Thanks Lore and Bryan for a great night, I wish you both the best.

Lindsay and Mike were married at Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Parish in Federal Way.  We first captured some final preparations before heading in to the sanctuary for their first look and family portraits.  The weather was also good enough to take the couple and bridal party outside for a few photos around the grounds before everyone settled in for the full mass ceremony.

After the ceremony the couple only had to walk across the parking lot for the reception.  Towards the end of the evening the couple had a very profitable money dance!

Lindsay and Mike it was great working with you, and I wish the best for you both!
