Carley and Jordan got married at the beautiful Willows Lodge in Woodinville, the garden setting was just perfect for their wedding.  Shortly after we arrived we arranged for their first look by the wishing well and then family photos.  After the ceremony we took them around the property for their sneak away moment, as the light was perfect, one of the guests at the wedding even offered is red camaro for a few of the shots.

It was wonderful working with you both, and wish you all the best!

Morgan + Thomas 5.23.09

The last few weeks have provided us with great weather, and Morgan and Thomas wedding day was no exception.  The location was the spectacular Salish Lodge and Spa in Snoqualmie.  The ceremony was held near the top the falls on the terrace.  It was great day that ended with a beautiful sunset.

A few days later, we met up with the couple again for a day after session down at the base of the falls so look for those photos in the coming week!  We wish them both the best, and it as a pleasure working with them and their family.

Breanna and Jimmy’s e-session

Bre and Jimmy's Engagement SessionBre and Jimmy's Engagement SessionBre and Jimmy's Engagement SessionBre and Jimmy's Engagement Session

This session would be my first involving animals other than dogs!  We met up first thing in the morning a couple weeks ago at Country Lane Arabians in Enumclaw, and took some photos with one of the horses she works with.  We also took some photos for the owner of just the horse, all of which which involves startling the horse by any means necessary to get the proper ear placement and surprised expression in the face and eyes.  The handler mentioned there are photographers that specialise this field, and they come prepared with all kinds of noise making devices.

After speding a couple of hours there we headed to Maple Valley to Lake Wilderness to finish up without the horse!  I can’t wait for their wedding coming up in August!

Nicole + Josh 5.9.09

Nicole and Josh had a lot of ideas that were not traditional when it comes to wedding planning.  From the simple ceremony (which included some Dr Seuss references)  in the backyard of their parents house in Spanaway to the jello shots, instead of champagne, to the countless hours Nicole spend the days before the wedding making assorted cakes (the pumpkin was nothing short of amazing!). It was apparent that this couple was genuine and sincere, but also very real and it was refreshing to see their wedding reflected who they really are.

I was assisting John of JFK Weddings this day as Jenna was taking a break in final few weeks before their baby is born.  It was a pleasure working with John, and I was happy to be included in the couple’s celebration.
