More Napa Photos

[gallery]

Here are a few more shots from last Monday down in Napa. Before we headed home we spent the day visiting a few more of the wineries and vineyards.  Our friends John and Jenna wanted to be models for the day as they never had an engagement session before their wedding,  and of course, we were happy to photograph them!  Of course they turned the camera on us a few times as well!

Brandi + Clinton 2.23.08

[gallery]

My first wedding of the year took place this past Saturday at Willows Lodge.  We were foutinuate enough to have beautiful sunny skies, a rareity here in February.

They were a super fun couple to work with and everyone had a great time, it’s rare when people get on the dance floor when the reception begins, so I knew we would be in for a wild night, and we were!

Thanks Brandi and Clinton for a great day!

Free destination wedding contest

My offer to help out former Celebrations Studios clients has past,  with no winner, but I’d like to still give something away this year!

So starting today I am offering a destination wedding contest.  The requirements are simple,  have your wedding at an unusual or interesting location that I have not visited before. (resorts, wineries, etc.)  This can be anywhere, in or out of state.

The fine print, the wedding cannot be on a date I currently have booked, and couples would need to pay two nights lodging and other travel expenses to get me to the location. You’ll get full day standard coverage included at no additional charge (a $2900 value).

To be considered for this contest please send me an email from my website contact form and I’ll follow up with you!  Hurry, this contest ends no later than April 1st, and a winner may be chosen at any time!

Urban Unveiled at Benaroya Hall

[gallery]

Last night we had the pleasure of attending the Urban Unveiled bridal event at Benaroya Hall. It was put on by our friends at True Colors Events.  This was the second year for the event and the hall looked great. The event consisted of hand picked vendors in a casual, informal setting, complete with appetizers, cocktails, and best of all dessert! To complete the event there was a Luly Yang couture fashion show.

It was great meeting with some of the vendors I worked with during last years weddings. Vendors such as Lumiere Productions, Jen’s Desserts, Willows Lodge, Trophy Cupcakes, and my new favorite, amazing cupcakes by Suger Rush Baking Company.

Napa Workshop photos

Larry and I had a great time in Napa Valley, the weather was near 70 degress all weekend it was hard to come back to the winter we still have here!  We arrived back in Seattle at 5:00am on Tuesday morning, after leaving Napa about 4:00pm on Monday. It was a long drive, about 12 hours each way. Thanks John and Jenna for driving and putting up with us during the trip!

I’ve never been south of Eugene, Oregon before on I-5, and the scenery was stunning with the blue sky and snow covering the passes and Mt. Shasta. We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Napa, CA. I would highly recommend this location when staying in Napa. It has beautiful grounds, a great location and a fantastic cooked to order breakfast and manager’s reception daily!

It was great seeing many friends and associates from Seattle in attendance, we photographed at several vineyards, downtown Napa at night and a old train station. One of my favorite wineries we shot at was V. Sattui.  They have a wonderful store there to buy all kinds of good things to eat, plus as a bonus, there is lots of outdoor seating.

There were many models present during our weekend, from familes to bridal couples and seniors.  Above are a few of my favorites from the weekend so far.  (still editing so might be adding a few more)
