Many of us on the west coast haven’t heard about the big fiasco that’s been taking place in the back east.  The wedding and videography giant called Celebration Studios suddenly closed its doors, leaving hundreds if not thousands of couples affected.  In reading the blog post of a photographer Jason Groupp from New York, I am compelled to offer assistance to one lucky couple as well.

My offer is this:

Free photography services for the entire wedding day (up to 9 hours), unlimited digital photography, on-line proofing within 3 weeks of the wedding, and a copy of the high resolution digital files on DVD delivered 30 days after the wedding.  If you wish to purchase an album I will offer it to you at cost, even after the wedding day.

What you need to do to be considered for this offer:

Please let me know your wedding date and location, submit a photo, and tell me a little about you both and your situation.  If I am not available on your date, I will respond immediately. Your wedding must take place in 2008.

Your wedding can be anywhere in the tri-state or surrounding areas, all I am asking is you to cover the airfare from Seattle and car rental expenses.  No lodging costs are necessary as I can stay with friends in South New Jersey.

You must send your info to me by February 21, 2008. The winner will be chosen on February 22nd.

Now that the holidays are over and 2008 is here, that means the wedding season is starting to ramp up again.

It all started this past weekend at the Seattle Wedding Show which Larry and I visited on Saturday with our good friends John and Jenna from JFK Weddings. 

We started the show by picking up a copy of new Spring/Summer issue of Seattle Bride Magazine.  It features my new ad for 2008! You can see it on page 125,  or check out the image below.

It was great meeting some some of our favoriate vendors and friends, Jenn from Willows Lodge, Laurel from Laurel’s Floral and Decor, Julie from Port Gamble Weddings, Celebrant Sean Patrick O’Reilly, Jessie and Travis from True Colors Events, Laura from Edit1Media and Photographer Dani Weiss.  And last but not least one of the highlights of the show is tasting all the cake samples from various yummy bakeries, including Cupcake Royale, Mikes Amazing Cakes, and Borracchini’s Bakery. 

Afterward we were planning on doing a bit of wine country touring in Woodinville with John and Jenna but we ending up spending too much time at the show, so we decided to relax and hang out at their place the rest of the day and did our own wine tasting!

Happy New Year everyone! Now that the New Year is upon us, I’m relfecting on the 2007 season, and looking forward to what 2008 will bring.   

 The final tally for last year was 39 weddings, and 15 portrait sessions, a record year! Thanks to all those that made this possible.
