Stephanie and Jonathan’s e-session

[gallery]

Two weekends ago I made the trip south to Portland, Oregon for some early Holiday shopping and for Stephanie and Jonathan’s engagement session. The location they decided on was the upper gardens of the Grotto.  I have never been to the upper part before and it was pretty amazing, even in November. There was still some fall color, and the smell of evergreens was amazing.

Stephanie and Jonathan are getting married next year on my birthday (May 31st) at the Oregon Garden in Silverton, OR.  Thanks guys for showing me the upper garden it was great spending the afternoon with you.

It’s been a busy week, several completed albums have arrived, I’ll have photos of them shortly! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Self portrait session

A couple of weekend’s ago I enlisted the help of Larry who was going to assist me in taking some new photos for the website.  He was  also looking for some updated photos, so we did two photo shoots that day!

The location we chose was an industrial park in Kent, proving that it’s not always about the location. We shot with farily wide open aperature to keep the background out of focus.

There was lots of great color and the light was perfect.  In case you don’t know what I look like, my photo is on the bottom!

11.07.07 – New website launches!

I’m excited to annouch the new Steve Smith Photography website! This site will look similar to the old site, but comes with updated photos and many new and improved features. I will be branching off my non-wedding portrait work to a separate site, which will go live in a few weeks.

I welcome your feedback and comments on the new site, enjoy!

10.28.07 – Leah and Adam

The final wedding of my busy weekend was a great Halloween themed wedding took place at the Liberty Theater in Puyallup.  It was a masquerade themed wedding and the location was decorated up perfectly for the event. It was by far the most unusual and fun wedding that I’ve photographed to date, and perfectly fit the couple.  One of their firiends even put on a belly dance performance to round out the whole evening.  Thanks Leah and Adam for a fun day, your going to love the photos!

10.27.07 – Rachel and Andrew

[gallery]

My first wedding of the weekend was Rachel and Andrew’s in Edmonds. The ceremony took place at the Holy Rosary Parish. After the ceremony the couple was greeted with a horse and carriage for their short ride to the Waterfront for some portraits and then it was off to the Edmonds Conference Center for the reception.  We were privileged again with some more great weather for all of the outdoor photo opportunities. You guys were great, thanks for inviting me to share your special day with you!
