10.16.07 – Allison and Ron

[gallery]

I had the rare opportunity to photograph a weekday wedding, it took place last Tuesday at beautiful and rustic Willows Lodge in Woodinville. The wedding was a small and intimate with only family and close friends attending. The flowers were stunning, and the food at Willows Lodge is always amazing! The weather held out just enough to get a quick photo walk in outside. Thanks Allison and Ron for allowing me spend the evening with you!

10.13.07 – Fall portrait sessions

[gallery]

Last Saturday, I took full advantage of the great weather and scheduled two portrait sessions to take place at the aboretum in Seattle.  My first shoot was with Alejandro for a portfolio update. It was cold, but the fog made for some interesting light, something that you don’t see very often.

My second session was with Shaun Paul, a cellist whose music I admire and use on my own website.  We started out at the Japanese Garden and then made our way to the University of Washington campus to incorporate the architecture into the photos.

Fall is my favorite times of year to create portraits outdoors, the light is usually amazing and the leaves and colors can create dynamic backdrops, it’s too bad it only lasts a few short weeks.

10.11.07 – Portrait session

[gallery]

Last Thursday, I completed a portrait session with Adrienne and Michael. They were actually engaged about a year ago and had their wedding this past January.  They told me that their wedding photos were just “okay”, but they were hoping for something a bit better from their photographer.  Because I think everyone deserves great photos, I was more than happy to help them out!

Our session took place along the waterfront area of Tacoma where the weather was good and the high clouds gave some great diffused light.  They were a great couple, and made my job easy. I can’t wait for them to see the photos!

10.06.07 – L’eah and Jonathan

[gallery]

Last Saturday I photographed L’eah and Jonathan’s wedding held at the Seattle Airport Marriott hotel. After two hours of preparation, L’eah looked absolutely stunning! We were hoping to get outside for a few photos but the weather just wasn’t cooperating that day.

The ceremony and reception packed the house, and during dancing I’ve never seen the floor so crowded, everyone was there to have a good time! During the reception they played an unedited secret video recording of their engagement, it definitely had everyone glued to their seats, and the narration by the best man and groom were certainly entertaining.

It was a honor to spend the evening with you both, have a wonderful time on your honeymoon.

09.29.07 – Marie and Phet

[gallery]

This is my last out of state wedding for the year, taking place just outside Indianapolis, Indiana. Fortunately there were no major flight delays and I had just enough time between connecting flights, even with an hour and a half.

The location for the wedding was Fort Harrison Golf Resort and Conference Center. The weather was great, in the lower 80’s and slightly overcast. The ceremony took place on the patio outside overlooking the golf course where we were able to get some beautiful portraits with Marie, then the reception was held indoors at the Garrison.  While departing Sunday morning, I ran into the couple as we were on the same flight to Minneapolis!  It was great spending the day with you both, and enjoy your honeymoon in Hawaii!
