On early Saturday morning I took the Amtrak Cascades train to Portland to photograph the wedding of Amanda and George at the Doubletree Hotel near Lloyd Center.  We tried to get some photos outside at the park across the street, but the weather just wouldn’t hold out. You guys were fun to work with and I enjoyed spending the evening with you.  Have a great time in Vegas!

On Friday morning I had a nice drive to Whidbey Island.  Anna and Michael had their wedding at a location called Island Memories, a private home near Langley. The owners Roz and Peter were great and made sure the couple was taken care throughout the day. The plan was for an outdoor ceremony and reception, even despite the very rainy weather earlier that morning. The last two weeks in July are typically the driest time of the year here in the Northwest, but there are always exceptions! The soft overcast light was perfect for great photos.   The cupcakes were amazing and made by Jen’s Dessert’s.  Thanks Anna and Michael for allowing me to spend the day with you, have a great time in Mexico!

This past Sunday I photographed the wedding of Caresa and Jeremy. I’ve come to know Caresa well this past year and she even planned her wedding around my availability! They had their wedding at Point Defiance park (at the big border, near the rose garden)  the location was stunning with all the flowers coming into peak bloom. 

The reception was held at Caresa’s parent’s home, it was a casual reception with lots of food, and my favorite was the deep fried turkey, yummy! Larry was also with me the whole day filming some HD video for future projects.  Thanks Caresa and Jeremy, I enjoyed spending the day with you hope you had fun in Oregon!

 This past Saturday I had a blast working at Kari and Peter’s wedding in Tacoma. The ceremony was held at the Trinity Presbyterian Church and right after the ceremony we went to the University of Puget Sound for some group portraits. UPS is such an amazing place, unfortunately there was some construction so we could not photograph in one of our favorite places on campus, but there are still plenty of locations to choose from.  After about an hour we were off to Green River Community College for the reception.  Thanks Kari and Peter, it was great working with you and enjoy the Bahamas!  Thanks also to Tobin for assisting me with photography coverage for the day.  The slideshow of my favorite photos is coming soon!

Saturday I spent the day with Lauren and Grant at their wedding in Carnation. The weather was perfect, and we started with some final prep shots and then the first look/reveal moment.  We then captured a few portraits with the family and bridal party, then off to the church. After the church it was back to the parent’s farm for an outdoor reception to finish off the evening.  Oh,  and they made a great appearance at the reception arriving in a horse drawn carriage!  There were so many great photos it was hard to just pick a few.  FYI, the ring shot was with made with the new macro lens I got a few weeks ago.  Two more weddings this weekend.  Try and stay cool out there.
