On Saturday I photographed Thea and Jose’s wedding at the historic Hollywood Schoolhouse in Woodinville.  It was my first time there, and found it’s a wonderful place for photography. So many locations and possibilities and great light,  I can’t wait for another wedding there to try even more ideas.  This wedding was very unique and reflected the couples individuality, there was even a beer toast during the ceremony, and of course you can’t forget the beer koozies given as favors! Their guests definitely had a great time!

I’m shooting two weddings this weeekend, first on Friday in Portland, Oregon and then back here on Saturday morning for another wedding in Seattle.

I had the pleasure of working with Adrienne and Jeff this past Saturday evening at the lavishly decorated Ruins. I also worked for the first time with Sean Flanagin.  Here are a few shots from the day, you can see from the photo of the ballroom how amazing this location really is,  each room has their own theme.  Thanks guys for a great evening!

What a great day yesterday, temperatures near 80! It was a perfect day to be outside. Katie and Matt wanted their engagement session near Alki in West Seattle with the background of the Seattle skyline. The weather was absolutely perfect and we had a great time (shot over 500 photos!). They will be getting married in Port Gamble this September.

I received a package from FedEx today with my order from mydigitaldiscount.com. It was my 120GB Nexto: Ultra ND-2525 portable compact flash storage unit (CF reader with a hard drive).  Prior to this device, I was using a portable DVD backup which was very slow and could take over and hour for a wedding. This new device promises a blazing 20MB a second or more! In other words a full wedding could copy in about 5 minutes, a huge improvement to my workflow.

Here are a couple of images from last Sunday’s wedding with Jacquie and Greg. They were married at the Hansen Place in my hometown of Sumner! I enjoyed spending the day with you and hope you have a great time on your honeymoon at the Oregon Coast.
