Brittney and Paul!

[gallery]

I had a wedding last Saturday afternoon at the Tracy Castle near Buckley. The stormy weather we had was in contrast to what I experienced at the same location back in July of this year.

I actually met Brittney and Paul on a flight back from a wedding I shot in Philadelphia just over a year ago. They were visiting family back home and sitting a row behind me. I happened to overhear they were recently engaged. After arriving back home in Seattle I handed them a card as we left the plane and congratulated them on their engagement, and said if they were looking for a photographer to give me a call. Some time passed, then earlier this year I heard from them and was more than excited to play a part of their special celebration!

Thanks to Yuri for assisting me in shooting as well.

No weddings for about a month, but I’ll still provide updates weekly.

Erica & Shelby!

I apologize for the late update; it’s been a crazy week! Last Friday evening I was at the Marysville Opera House for the wedding of Erica and Shelby. It was a small wedding with about 50 people in attendance.

The Opera House built in the early 1900’s features very interesting architecture inside (you would never guess from the way it looks on the outside), and it’s located just bocks from I-5.

They were a fun couple even though Erica was extremely nervous at first, after the ceremony and some reassurances, she relaxed a bit, and then I worked on getting her comfortable in front of the camera. Shelby even dressed up in a kilt for the evening, as I never realized how many accessories are worn, definately more work than dressing up in a tuxedo.

I have a wedding at Tracy Castle tomorrow and should have an update on the blog by Monday!
