New website lauched today!

Well, after months of preparation, the new website is now live! You can view it here. There are still a few bugs to work out with the transition, but they should be resolved in the next couple of days. The URL for the blog will change and the image links will be fixed.

I photographed a wedding in Marysville last Friday evening with Erica and Shelby, and have another wedding this coming Saturday at the Tracy Castle. So come back soon for updates!

New website just days away

My new website is finally complete, see the image below for a preview of the new site. The official launch is scheduled for October 31st.

I’ll be moving the old website to a different server over the weekend so the blog, slideshow movies and current website may not be available during this time.

Thanks for your patience during this transition.

Caresa and Jeremy’s engagement session

What a great time to get outside and enjoy the last bit of the great weather around here. This weekend is peak for most of the leaves around the city. I’ll be at the aboretumn later today doing some photography.

I had a great session with Caresa and Jeremy yesterday. We started out at the Carpinito Brothers Farm pumpkin patch where they found the perfect pumpkins for carving. They also bought one for me to carve too. We also went trough the corn maze and got lost for a short time. After the pumpkin patch we went to a few other locations nearby to catch some of the fall color on the trees, we just kept getting great photos and ended up spending about 3 hours shooting!

My favorite photo was taken at the end of our session in a parking lot under a maple tree that had already lost most of its leaves. Caresa had actually seen this location before I saw it; it was great spot as the light was being reflected from a building across the street. This proves that you don’t need a great location to get great photos. I had them toss leaves on each other at first and then I started tossing them up in the air in one hand while holding the camera with the other, a somewhat challenging situation!

I had a great time, and enjoyed spending the morning with you both.

Back from the East Coast

I returned back on Monday from my 10-day adventure on the East Coast. I had a great time and enjoyed some time off in New York, New Jersey, Boston and Philly. Here are some photos of the trip. The two photos above are from New Jersey taken at The Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton.

These other two shots are from Manhattan, New York. The first near Times Square the second atop the Empire State Building. What a crazy place Manhattan is, I never imagined so many people in one place. It was great to be in a city that had good public transporation, I had no problems using the trains. I only wish it was that easy to get around back home.

Thank you Kimberly and Charlie for allowing me to spend the week your home, I was spoiled, you treated me just like family!

No weddings coming up for two weeks which is a nice break and will allow me to concentrate on getting all the smaller projects complete and the new website ready to launch.

Kimberly and Greg!

[gallery]
I spend last Saturday afternoon with Kimberly and Greg at the Black Rock Country Club in historic Hingham, Massachusetts. Hingham is a great New England town and defiantly worth a visit if your in the area. The weather was great, and I enjoyed my stay in the Boston area. I looked forward to exploring that area again. I wish Kimberly and Greg the best, and thank them for allowing me to spend the evening with them.

After Boston I took the Amtrak Acela hi-speed train south to Philly. It’s a comfortable and scenic five hour trip. It was also nice that both cities have reliable and available public transportation to and from their airports to center of the city. I’m now staying with good friends Kimberly and Charlie who live in South New Jersey until I leave early next Monday morning.

On this Saturday I’ll be photographing a smaller wedding in downtown Philly. See you next week!
