Making the East Coast home for 10 days

Last night I had a red-eye flight to Boston, it was my first time flying JetBlue, and must say I was quite pleased with that airline. There was more legroom, comfy leather seats and 36 channels of DirecTV to stay occupied.

I’ll be photographing a wedding here in Hingham, MA tomorrow and then the following weekend in Philly. Stay tuned for updates.

Renee and Kurt!

[gallery]
This past weekend I traveled to Long Island, NY to assist another photographer with a wedding. The event took place at the beautiful Woodbury Country Club although the ceremony was supposed to be outside unfortunately the weather did not permit that, we were still able to get the couple outside later in the afternoon to take advantage of the picturesque grounds. Renee and Kurt were such a great couple to photograph and I wish the both the best as they start their new life together.

Later this week I’m back on the East coast heading to Boston, MA for a wedding this weekend and the following weekend in Philadelphia, PA. I’ll be staying with my good friend Kimberly in NJ for the time in between those weddings so I don’t have to travel back and forth from west to east. Of course I’ll be updating the blog even though I am not at home, so check back for updates next week!

Michele and Randy!

I photographed a smaller, intimate wedding back East in Alexandria, Virginia this past weekend. Michele and Randy’s wedding took place at the historic Woodlawn Plantation, the grounds and home are beautiful and I recommend a stop if you ever in the area. As an added bonus there is also a Frank Lloyd Wright home on the property that you can also explore. Michele and Randy were great to work with, and I wish them the very best.

More East coast travel for the next few weekends as well, this weekend I will be on Long Island, New York this should be a beautiful wedding.

Maria’s Maternity Session

Sunday morning I had a maternity photography session. I photographed Maria and David’s wedding in the spring of 2005. Maria had alays talked about doing photos when she was pregnant and called me a couple months ago to shoot a session at their home. We kept things simple, utilizing the available light from the windows.

Maria will be expecting their first baby boy in just less than two months from now. I can’t wait to see their new baby and will be back to photograph him about a month after he is born.

Nga and Trevor’s 14 hour wedding!

[gallery]

This past Saturday I photographed my longest wedding yet. I spent 14 hours with Nga and Trevor in and around Seattle. We started at 8am with some cultural ceremonies. At noon they had a more traditional wedding ceremony, and then back in Seattle at China Harbor for the reception, where I ended coverage around 10:30pm. Their wedding day was a modified Vietnamese wedding, which normally spans three days.
I also had Marvin Tolentino assist me with my photographic coverage because of the duration of the wedding and the size of the reception.

Best wishes to Nga and Trevor!
